Otterman School of Real Estate opened in 1992, to provide an opportunity for residents of Florida’s Heartland to obtain real estate licensing courses without having to spend valuable time out of town. Since then, we have helped thousands of students obtain and maintain their licenses.





Jim Otterman began instructing real estate courses in 1988 for South Florida Community College, prior to opening his school four years later. He has been a Realtor for more than twenty years, having owned and operated a successful Coldwell Banker company for fifteen years. He sold his brokerage business in 2005 in order to be able to devote more time toward real estate education and training.





Through an affiliation with Dearborn Publishing, Otterman School of Real Estate now offers online classes in a 24/7 format, which enables students who are seeking a distance learning environment to obtain their desired courses at their convenience.
